At Planned Parenthood, we promise to answer any questions you might have and we'll always treat you with respect.  Most importantly, we believe that you are the only one who can decide what is right for you. If you have questions like . . .

• Will Planned Parenthood tell my parents that I got birth control or a pregnancy test?
• Will the Pill will make me fat?
• What happens during a pelvic exam?
• Is that discharge "down there" a sexually transmitted infection?
• Do I need a pelvic exam to get on the Pill?
• The condom broke...how do I get emergency contraception?
• What is happening to my body?
• Is masturbating bad for me?

If you are age 12 or older, you do not need your parents' permission to visit us and we will not tell your parents that you came to Planned Parenthood. California state law does not require parental notification for reproductive health services, but Planned Parenthood recommends involving your parents or other trusted adults when you make important health care decisions so you can get the support you need - when you need it.

• Teens are always welcome at any of our Planned Parenthood Health Center Locations.
• We also have teen clinic hours for teens only!
• No appointment is needed during teen clinic hours.
• Clients are seen on a first-come, first-serve basis. There may be a wait before you are seen. (But we have plenty of magazines!)
• If you don't want to come in alone, you can bring a friend or your boyfriend / girlfriend (having a guest in the waiting room is alright, but only the patient is to go into the exam room.)

Every Thursday from 1:00-5:00 pm

Every Wednesday from 2:00-4:00 pm

Every Wednesday from 3:00-4:30 pm

Things to bring:

• Magazine, book or homework if there’s a wait.
• List of your questions for the medical staff.
• A friend, if you don’t want to come alone.
• Patience—but trust us, it’s worth it.

Be ready to:

• Fill out some forms.
• Get weighed.
• Give a urine sample.
• Undress for your exam.
