 On Jan. 20th, the "Walk for Life" returns to San Francisco to protest the 34th anniversary of Roe v. Wade the groundbreaking U.S. Supreme Court decision that ensured reproductive freedom for women in the United States.
In lieu of a fundraising event this year, PPGG is celebrating this important anniversary by asking supporters like you to set an example for anti-choicers. Together, we can make a REAL difference in women's lives.
The HPV vaccine has the potential to stop the spread of cervical cancer, but at a cost of around $450 for the three shots needed, it is well beyond the means of many Bay Area families. Access to life-saving vaccines should not be out of reach for low-income members of our community.
Help us send the message to anti-choicers that their protest against our hard earned reproductive freedoms only strengthens our resolve to continue providing much needed prevention services in our community.
Our goal is to raise $450,000 to provide vaccines to 1,000 low-income women and girls.
Last year, the walk claimed 15,000 participants. If each protester is pledged at just $100, $250, $500 or more, we'll meet our goal.
